Bio

Alyson Marzini is a Rhode Island-based vocalist and musician. Aly is a graduate of Rhode Island College, where she earned a BA in Music History and a BA in Film Studies. She studied operatic vocal techniques with Georgette Hutchins, a renowned mezzo-soprano who attended Tanglewood on scholarship, has appeared on the Met stage and has sung leading roles in many opera companies throughout the United States. As a soprano, Aly is in demand throughout Rhode Island as a soloist, performing in multiple church ensembles. She has singing experience in Polish, French, German, and Italian languages. Aly is currently a freelance vocalist for church services in the Blackstone Valley area of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She is also a member of the Hope Collective for Early Music, a group of musicians and scholars who share their love of Renaissance and Baroque music through seasonal concerts in Rhode Island. In her free time, Aly enjoys learning folk and indie rock songs and loves to play the piano. She also loves film music and believes that the emotive power of music is what is most important. As a teacher, Aly will strive to teach her students that feeling and understanding the music they are learning is paramount to their success.
